2015 Plans and Progress!

I realized I never posted my plans for 2015, so I'm doing this now! I created the list back at the beginning of 2015, so I didn't edit this based on where I am now. I am adding a little progress update below.

Plans for 2015:
I am taking part in The Dreamstress' challenge for Historical Sew Monthly, so lots of sewing will revolve around that, and also a focus on Regency for the JAF in England (originally planned to go in Sept. 2015 but delayed a year due to life). Also a focus on getting some things done for my hb, as I delve into men's fashion. Also the year of the muffs and muff insides for my new Etsy shop:

  • January's HSM 'Foundations' challenge: an accessory a whole outfit would be based around
  • Late 18th or early 19th century men's waistcoat/s for HB
    • Late 18th or early 19th century men's jacket & pants for HB
    • Late 1790's dress & overdress or Regency silk sari dress
    • Early 19th century Regency ballgown - I have an embroidered one planned if there's time, ha!
    • Early 19th century Regency bee spencer
    • Late 18th century silk short cape
    • Late 18th century Robe a la Francaise - if there's time!
    • Hat making/millinery
      • Muffs & muff insides
      • Revamp late 18th century men's faux jacket for HB
      • Revamp my early 19th century yellow Regency cross over gown bodice & add more black trim
      • Finish my Regency rose cotton velvet spencer
      • Finish my 1780's cream silk jacket
      • Finish my modern yellow & black 'bee' hat
And I have various planned outfits in various stages of ideas/fabric/stash/events, so depending on sewing time & what events pop up that I need/want to sew for, I may also get to one or some of my long-planned projects: Victorian stays, new 18th & 19th century stays, 1870's plaid silk gown, 1880's plaid gown, 1860's gown, my 1830's green & rose stripey silk dress, my 2nd UTR 1780's cotton English gown, my 1890's red silk opera gown, 1780's-1790's jacket, Regency bib-front, and etc. Way more time to dream & plan then sew, but I love to dream & plan too :). Wherever possible, I'll try to map these to the HSM 2015 Challenges!

So that was my plans for 2015, and here is my progress:
      • March's HSM: Revamp late 18th century men's faux jacket for HB - Yes (might add a little more trim but it's DONE)
      • Revamp my early 19th century yellow Regency cross over gown bodice & add more black trim (This one's not done but I'm working on it)
      • Finish my Regency rose cotton velvet spencer - made progress but not quite done
      • Finish my 1780's cream silk jacket - worked a little on this UFO
      • Finish my modern yellow & black 'bee' hat - a little progress on this UFO
Plus, not originally planned for 2015:
      • July HSM early 19th century painted silk fan - COMPLETE
      • Regency Pumpkin Tea 'Pemberley' shoes - painted, in progress
      • August HSM - almost done, Regency pelerine
      Hooray for sewing time!
